What is a Traineeship?A Traineeship is a full-time or part-time employment based training arrangement. A Trainee can be a new or existing worker. During the course of a Traineeship, the Trainee undertakes training and work based assessments to develop new skills or gain recognition for existing knowledge and skill. On successful completion, the Trainee earns a nationally recognised qualification.
Benefits of a Traineeship to your CompanyAs an employer of Trainees you will: Who can be a Trainee?Either a new or existing staff member can be a Trainee if they meet the following criteria: If they are under 25 years of age the State Government will cover the training fees. If the Trainee has a prior qualification or the Traineeship does not meet Commonwealth Guidelines, then the Employer Subsidy may not apply. Final eligibility is determined by an Australian Apprenticeship Centre (AAC). ETAS Group uses the AAC to sign up Trainees and manage contracts. ETAS Group staff will facilitate links with the AAC on your behalf.
